Thursday Night Lights
Thursday Night Lights
Youths gather around in the drizzle, fog and cold
Beer flows, but not to fuel the party but instead to provide some warmth
Pan flutes are played and feet are stomped on the brick streets
in a concrete jungle of millions notes of heritage and culture ring out
Leggings, hoodies, jeans, and mochilas
the quilt work of the modern latino society lines the square
I want to get dry to stay warm but like sirens I'm drawn closer
closer to this cabal that most will never see, but I wish they would.
